Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Formu collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. Formu is the data controller.
Founding Access sign-ups
When you request Founding Access we collect your email address and, if you choose to give them, your main sport, whether you are an athlete, coach or creator, and what frustrates you about fuelling. We also record the date and time of your request.
We use your email only to contact you about Founding Access and the Formu launch. We use your optional answers to decide what to build. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not add you to a marketing list, sell your details or share them with other organisations for their own use.
Anonymous website usage
To understand which pages and tools are useful, we record simple events such as a page being viewed, the Fuel Calculator being used, a formula being shared, or a Founding Access request being sent. Each event stores only the event type, the page address, a short detail (for example a formula number or a calculator target) and the time.
We do not set cookies or store identifiers in your browser for this, and we do not save your IP address, browser details or anything that links events to you or to each other. Like any website, our hosting and database providers necessarily receive your IP address and browser information when your device connects, and may keep it briefly in technical logs for security and reliability.
How your information is stored
Information is held in a secured database operated by our hosting provider, Lovable, using infrastructure from Supabase and its cloud providers. These service providers process data on our behalf to run the website and may store it outside the UK; where they do, we rely on their contractual safeguards. Visitors to the website cannot read, change or delete stored sign-ups or events — the website can only add new entries.
How long we keep it
We keep Founding Access details for as long as reasonably necessary to run Founding Access registration and send relevant launch communications. We review whether we still need them from time to time, and we delete them when you make a valid request, subject to any legal requirements. Deletion is handled by us manually; it is not automated.
Anonymous usage events contain no personal information and may be kept for longer to understand trends.
Protecting the sign-up form
To keep out automated spam, sign-ups are checked on our server, the form includes a hidden field that only bots fill in, and we limit how many sign-ups can be accepted in a short period. These checks do not use cookies or store anything extra about you. The form gives the same response whether or not an address is already registered.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, at any time by emailing hello@myformu.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change how we use your information we will update this page and, where the change is significant, tell people on the Founding Access list.
